Daily Chat

Daily Chat is a chatroom in the mobile game Geometry Dash. Its name derives from the Daily Level, an ingame featured level that is selected every day at roughly 6:00 PM EST. It originated in early 2017 and was housed in a demonstration level made by game developer RobTop to showcase features added in the recent 2.1 Update. There have been several attempts to detail the history of Daily Chat, including a ~15 minute long level by DrKahlsRobot and the Daily Chat Wiki itself.

Creation

In early 2.1, RobTop released a level titled "Editor Examples 002". In the comment section of this level, a group of about 30 or so people had decided to chat through said comments. One day, a user, iIShadowPupIi, suggested moving the chat to the Daily level. The other chatters had decided to go through with it. In March 2017, iIShadowPupIi suggested a name for the place, being "The Daily Chat".
